It was quite a struggle to be a woman in a field that I thought of as being very masculine. It was a challenge to be strong, feminine, and soft, and still be able to take care of myself, without reducing myself, was not an easy one for me. It was lots of pleasure to walk around in heels wearing a dress, with soft fabric and curls all day long. There was pressure because I'm younger that everyone else on the set of Fantastic Beasts. When I was auditioning for the role, I had this strange feeling that there was this huge force in front of me. Or, I could crumble under this weight and fall since I was so desperate to do it. It was also possible to get forward and let it propel me ahead. You can go for days in the streets, exploring museums cafes, parks and the like or just looking at individuals. In LA, but London's Tube allows you to be at the center of everything. Each human being that you can imagine can be observed. I enjoy watching other individuals. I come from the music industry, that is where you're always in the presence of males and it feels like you're in really intimate situations almost every minute working with males. The books were a dream that came true for myself. It was great having the opportunity to study the book while touring. The cities are constantly shifting which can make it difficult to stay focused. To be able to disappear to such a vivid immersive, vibrant universe from your bedroom is something truly wonderful.
