Anya Volz is a New York City-based comedian originally from Vermont. She was forced to transfer schools from Northlands to Hill House. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in plays. In the year she turned 16 she quit school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy always knew that she wanted to be an actress. It was when she achieved that dream, Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management gave Taylor-Joy a modeling job.
